The Bovina United Presbyterian Church strives to be an integral part of the small, rural town of Bovina, while teaching the lessons of Jesus Christ.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)

Every Monday at 7:00 pm an AA meeting is hosted in the church basement.

Christian Education

Our church has a very active Christian education program for youth.  During the school year, youth group for middle and high school students meets bi-monthly.  The youth of our church not only learn about the church, but also serve the community by participating in activities including the CROP walk, the Alzheimer’s walk, and  other various missions.

In summer, on Wednesday evenings in July, “Surprise of Summer” meets at 7:00 PM on the ball field next to the library.  This hour of organized fun and games for children teaches team work and cooperation among children of all ages.  Vacation Bible School is held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM during the first week of August.

Community Outreach

The Bovina UP Church offers a variety of programs to reach out to the community of Bovina whether or not they are members of the church including an annual town picnic, Christmas gift bags for shut ins and the elderly of the community, ugly quilts for the homeless, and an annual Chicken and Biscuit dinner. In addition to these special programs we reach out to our community in times of need.

Special Services

In addition to our weekly worship services on Sundays at 9:30 AM, we offer several special services including a Memorial Day service at the Bovina Cemetery, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services, an Easter sunrise service, Children’s Sunday, a Christmas Eve pageant, and a fifth Sunday Ecumenical service.
